Please see http://www.couponsdealspromos.com has Kayak , travelocity and priceline and many more. It has coupons, deals, promo codes and offers from all over the world. I would try Kayak first.

My family (wife, 3 kids and in-laws) and I are planning an August vacation to Lancaster, PA (Penn. Dutch Country). Can anyone recommend good lodging deals (be they hotels or rentals?
Lancaster Host Resort. It has a lot of amenities and is in a good location in the middle of the shopping and Amish attractions.

I was looking at my electric bill and it said that my home's bill is slightly higher than similar homes. This made me wonder about the percentage of difference in cost between homes where both people work outside the home, and ones where someone is home most daytime hours? What do you all think about it?
I live in a neighborhood where there are 37 homes with 4 different styles and sizes, so it is very easy to compare my home with exactly the same design home. What we have discovered in comparing our bills is that even with the same number of people living in the home and the same square footage, the bills can be vastly different depending on usage. For example, I work from home on a computer all day while my neighbor's work. Neither of us have children. But, they have a lot of vampire electronics that I don't have so the difference between our bills is significant, and hers is the higher one! Now across the street, they are gone all day and have 2 children whereas I have none. Their electric bill is also higher than mine even though I am home all day. Why? She does at least 3-4 loads of laundry every day and runs her dishwasher every day. When they are home in the evening, they are running multiple TVs, computers and lights in several rooms whereas we will be watching one TV in one room. And, the big difference is that she runs her AC and I use ceiling and attic fans to keep my home cool. She uses her digital thermostat to maintain the system when she is not there at a different temperature than when she is. But, my fans cost 1/2 cent per hour per fan to operate while the AC costs $1.60 an hour. In the end, a lot depends on how electricity is used and how much is used whether the occupants are home or not. We have been surprised over the years that my electric bills are consistently lower than most of the neighbors who aren't even home during the day.

My friend is a vegan, and happens to be lactose and gluten intolerant. I feel awkward whenever there's only one thing on the menu she can order. So, what types of restaurants are good for vegan friends?
Indian
Mediterranean
Mexican
Thai
Chinese
Many ethnic restaurants will have menu options that are naturally vegan. Even better if you can find a local ethnic restaurant that has a website listing of their menu items. You or your friend can call in advance and ask the staff to recommend gluten-free vegan options. You may even go so far as to request to speak with a manager for reassurance. Ask if there's pork fat in flour tortillas and beans. Be sure there isn't any ghee nor yogurt (clarified butter) in certain Indian vegetarian dishes. Make sure there isn't any fish sauce in the Thai dish (many do, but they can make it without). Substitutes for wheat products are: corn tortillas, rice, rice noodles, cellophane noodles. If something is fried or sauted always ask if the food item is breaded with flour. Most restaurants are aware of celiac disease and wheat gluten allergies, so express your friend's concerns openly and clearly. Here are some chain resturants places I personally like to frequent. I follow a vegan diet.
