Golf Ball vs. Race Car – The Ultimate Big Break Challenge

Its hot. You can see the heat rising off the asphalt at the Walt Disney World Disney Speedway. Big Break Disney golf contestant Mike Perez (brother of PGA TOUR pro Pat Perez) tees up a ball on a straightaway in the middle of the track. Over his shoulder is a stock car revving its engine, the driver poised to put the pedal to the metal and let 600 horsepower loose. Perez also is poised, ready to hit a stinger shot that will catapult his golf ball low and fast. The starting flag is waived and the race begins. Over 300 yards, the car and the ball race toward the finish line the ball with the early lead but the car gaining fast. Which one crosses the finish line first will be revealed in a feature video shot and produced in high def.

That looked like a punch-shot.. but with the driver! No wonder the race car beats the golf ball on this one. If he hit it over 30 feet in the air, and could actually carry the ball to the 300 yard line then this would be a different story. Too bad Mike Perez is about 5’2 130 pounds and SOFT AS BUTTER!!!!!

Pros hit it about 320 yards with good conditions but can hit it around 400yards with perfect conditions the world record hole in one was about 480 but that is reacheable with a 3 wood cos it’s on a huge slope it was about 10 miles from where I play

yeah they can, you need to take in consideration of wind speed, direction, ball clubface contact, trajectory of the golf ball, and bouce if all those things go in your favor, it can happen and does happen. ive seen ammatures hit the ball that far, and ive been close to it since i nearly drived my local 550yard par 5 with about ~30mph downwind so its very possable. well i say nearly it was about 120 yards to the hole.
