To celebrate 35 years of their iconic car, Volkswagen turned the new golf GTI Edition 35 into a time machine.

They sent it back to visit the engineers that created the first ever GTI in1976.

Our travellers – fitted with helmet-cameras and microphones – went to thank the engineers for their efforts in creating such an iconic vehicle.

Unfortunately we lost the camera-feed as our adventurers decided to take the GTI Time Machine for a spin through history.
