Record-breaking crowd attends May Pops
Posted under VERO BEACH by adminA record-breaking 1000+ attendees enjoyed music from the stage and screen at this year’s May Pops Concert to benefit the Indian River Medical Center Foundation. Held on the polo grounds at Windsor, the Brevard Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Christopher Confessore, regaled the audience with tributes to John Williams and Henry Mancini. This year’s guest soloist was Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitt, who sang crowd favorites from such broadway-to-movie hits as “When You’re Good to Mama” from Chicago, “Mamma Mia” from Mamma Mia, and “Don’t Rain On My Parade” from Funny Girl.
