Posted under Uncategorized by admin
STORY:
Professor John Tyson teaches chamber music at the New England Conservatory of Music and is also the musical director for the Historical Dance Foundation in New York.
He took his wife to see Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular at the Boston Opera house, and they were very impressed.
[Professor John Tyson, New England Conservatory of Music]:
Honestly the production values are just the highest. This is world class.
Professor Tyson is an expert in renaissance music, and has an established career as a recorder soloist.
He was delighted by the different facets in the Chinese Spectacular.
[Professor John Tyson, New England Conservatory of Music]:
They are trying to make a very congenial show for people who are interested in Chinese and also for western audiences, who are used to bell-conto singing, are used to western orchestra. And it was a beautiful combination of everything.

He also the performances presentation of traditional Chinese spiritual values.
[Professor John Tyson, New England Conservatory of Music]:
Im not religious at all, but I love the Buddhist connection in there, because it speaks of something which I think is not really a religious thing the way we think in the west. . . Its expecting us to take responsibility for ourselves, to understand and be compassionate to everybody. Thats a universal thing I thought that was beautiful.

Great souvenir.

Just saw the show …
Just saw the show in Tulsa and I can’t say just how dissapointed I was. Some of the performers were excellent, but overall they were just mediocre and the music was anything but traditional. Worst of all was the blatant anti-china/pro Falun Gong political message. Give this one a pass and go see the Shanghai Acrobats or better yet, go to China and see much better performances in their native country

This evening was very beautiful, very meaningful, everyone, especially those of the Chinese people have misconceptions and prejudices of the people should look at.
Sometimes, Westerners think Chinese people well, is actually a misunderstanding, in fact, not the Chinese people well, but not the Chinese Communists. It’s easy to equate the Chinese Communists in China, because of misunderstanding of the views of the Chinese Communist Chinese, but this is absolutely wrong.
